After a short illness, Sadly we had to say goodbye to our adorable Cavapoo ‘Lulu’. Just want to say a big thank you to all the staff and Dan the vet for looking after Lulu with compassion and thoughtfulness in her final moments. Finally, to receive a card a week later with her paw print was going above and beyond and is something we can cherish forever. Thank you so much. Lesley & Adrian

Fantastic staff at reception and our vet is great too , you can see they all genuinely love the animals that pass through each day. My mums dog Basil is so at ease when he comes here, so thank you to everyone.

Had my dog’s annual booster vaccines and check up and was very pleased with how Daniel was with Buddy. Buddy is nervous with vet visits, Daniel was calm and patient with him which was reassuring for me and meant everything went smoothly and we left feeling positive with our experience went. Since being at this particular branch I have had positive experiences. Both the reception and vet staff have been great to deal with. Thank you.

I honestly can’t recommend Vets for Pets at Southend Airport highly enough. From the moment we arrived, every single member of the team was exceptional. Carlos was absolutely fantastic—professional, knowledgeable, kind and so reassuring throughout. The nurses were incredible, taking such wonderful care of Felix and making sure he was comfortable every step of the way. The reception team were equally welcoming, friendly and compassionate. The level of care, communication and genuine kindness we received was second to none. Felix was treated as if he were their own pet, which meant so much! Without doubt, this is the best veterinary service and care we have ever experienced. If you’re looking for a practice that combines genuine compassion with outstanding professionalism, this is the place to go. Fingers crossed we now get some rain to clear all these grass seeds away! Thank you to Carlos and the whole team for looking after Felix so brilliantly. We are so grateful.

Starting to seriously question this place. First off, my daughter’s kitten was diagnosed with life-threatening pyometra at just 8 months old (which we were told is extremely rare). The vet said he was 99% sure it was that, went ahead and operated, and it turned out to be just a minor infection that had already cleared up. The only positive here was that my daughter had already wanted her spayed, which was done while she was on the table, so it wasn’t the completely unnecessary ordeal it could have been. Fast forward a year and a bit, and we’ve now been told she has a genetic, incurable dental disorder causing her to lose her teeth. The same vet suggested removing her teeth, even while admitting it might make little difference since the issue is in the gums. He printed out a quote which, on inspection, only included the removal of two teeth (approx. £200 to £250 per tooth). My wife called the receptionist to clarify this because he did verbally state “all the teeth,” so this could become a very expensive (and potentially fruitless) operation. She was immediately met with defensiveness and no willingness to explain. You know when a receptionist starts overusing the word “obviously” that you’ve triggered snotty receptionist mode (not the first time we’ve experienced this here either). She then put my wife on hold to “check with the vet,” and the call was disconnected a few minutes later. No call back, no follow-up, nothing. The only reason we’ve continued coming here is for the effective flea treatment, but at this point we’re now looking to go elsewhere.

Got me (my cat) in quick. Very reassuring, persuaded me not to spend money on unnecessary blood tests at this time. Advice given and away we went.
