I cannot thank this vet surgery enough for the care they gave my cat. After visiting my regular vet for a leg injury and being sent home without what I felt was adequate treatment, I was extremely worried and needed a second opinion. From the moment we arrived here, the difference was clear. The team took my concerns seriously, thoroughly examined my cat, and clearly explained what was going on and what treatment was needed. They were kind, patient, and incredibly gentle, which made a stressful situation so much easier for both me and my cat. It was such a relief to finally feel heard and to know my cat was in safe, knowledgeable hands. I’m so grateful for their professionalism, compassion, and genuine care. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this surgery to anyone looking for a vet who truly puts animal welfare first.

My cats didn’t like the vet here. He was rude & had no compassion. The backup staff were great though & looked after my boy when he had surgery on his teeth. I did leave there as I couldn’t put my cats through that again with the vet.

Over the past few months our poorly dog has been receiving treatment due to multiple health issues , all of the staff have been great, supportive and friendly. Remembering him and his issues each time he enters. But most importantly Irena has been amazing to us. And very supportive during emotional times. The knowledge, love and passion for her role shines through and has made this experience for my family that little bit easier. Thank you summerdale.

Ridiculous service levels plus extremely unhelpful staff. Turned up on time to an appointment but was left waiting more than 1.5h, no apology from Alan. Anyone thinking of using this surgery, I would highly recommend looking elsewhere. Unhelpful, unorganised, useless.

We've decided to move vets after being let down multiple times by Summerdale. It's clear that Alan (the owner) is extremely experienced but the lack of organization with the lady on reception (I think it's his wife) is enough to put you off ever going there. She is completely incompetent and every single time we go there she has messed something else up which results in my dogs not getting the care that they deserve. She completely lets the place down and as my dogs get older I want to make sure they are in the hands of somebody capable.

This is a wonderful veterinary practice. We first took our beloved Nico to Alan to have some dental work carried out a few years ago & more recently during his final months, following a bought of ill health, to Nico's final visit yesterday when we sadly made the difficult decision to put him to sleep. Alan is a wonderful vet, so knowledgeable, kind & considerate, we have never felt rushed whenever we had cause to see him. Yesterday he made an awful situation bearable with his gentleness with Nico & his empathy with us. Our sincere thanks to Alan & his team at Summerdale Veterinary Centre.
