Weeley Veterinary Centre is described by one reviewer as privately owned and run (rather than part of a corporate group). Based on owner reports, the practice appears set up for routine care (vaccinations, spays), longer-running medical problems (skin/eye issues), and support around end-of-life visits—with several examples of vets taking time to explain and adjust handling for anxious pets. Reviews also include serious complaints: one owner says their cat died the same evening after a visit and alleges the practice refused to provide an X‑ray they had paid for; another says their dog with suspected bloat was turned away and later needed emergency surgery elsewhere.

Very friendly and helpful. Very reasonable pricing. They look after your pets as if they were their own. Privately owned and run. The staff make you feel like a member of the family. Very caring.

Iv always herd bad things about this vet however it’s on my road so thought they could help in such a serious situation unfortunately they Turn away my dog who had bloat, had to drive to the next vets 12 minute away when i got there her stomach had twisted already and she went straight in for emergency surgery as she only made minutes left ( the vet said if the first one didn’t turn you away she probably wouldn’t of even need surgery as we respond so quickly to the bloat) I was actually going to call in the week to move my dog vets so glad I didn’t. Will definitely be choosing havens Clacton amazing service and they saved my precious dogs life

I can only recommend them looked after our 2 dogs very well, last week we had to say goodbye to one of them. They looked after us because of the shock and took the time to make sure we were ok Please don’t moan about pricing it’s exactly the same costs of private healthcare they aren’t the NHS. Get your pet insured as they do direct claims here and you won’t be left out of pocket for weeks Thank you for the support and card everyone there ❤️

I cannot recommend more highly this Veterinary Centre. My rescue cat, Sally, has quite difficult health challenges, but April and all the team are truly amazing. The treatment they have given my beautiful cat has been amazing. I am so grateful that they will see me when I need to take Sally. I hope they win many more awards as they really do deserve them.

There's no other vet like it. Two awards on consecutive years for best vet in the UK and it's well deserved. From the top down, they really do care for all the animals. My little girl loves coming here and I have absolute confidence in April and her staff's abilities.

I cannot recommend this veterinary centre enough. We have had the pleasure of meeting April who is lovely with a kind and gentle nature. We had the pleasure of meeting Nadine who has helped bring our fun energetic crazy Cocker spaniel back to us - for the last 5 + years our 12 year old spaniel has had a rash on his tummy, loss of hair, gunky eyes, red sore eyes and no white in his eyes at all, our previous vet sold us eye drops which didn't work, they sold us a bath shampoo as they said B had dermatitis but that didn't work. Within two days of the medication Nadine prescribed his skin was no longer angry, after 2 weeks his hair started to grow back, no more scratching or itching :) With the eyes we got his eyes started to show white in them. 10 weeks later and his skin is just amazing, he has hair on his tummy again, his eyes look healthy and clear, he's just so happy and a completely different dog, I can not thank Nadine and the practice enough. Our other dog has two toe nails (1 on either front paw) that grow into his skin at times as he has no little toes. Our previous vets would hold him down to trim his nails with 3 staff on him - here April was gentle and desensitized him and asked us to come back to finish the cuts as S was getting upset and distressed - I can not asked for a better kind natured approach and for once S left happy and not racing back to the car all grumpy. Our cat was spayed here and the care team was amazing, very kind, friendly and understanding. Our little girl has healed nicely and even got a certificate of bravery which is a lovely touch. Not to leave our other cat out, P has been here too for her yearly vaccination, again very kind caring staff, brilliant with our grumpy cat. When you walk into the practice there is a family feel, the staff are full of kindness and love, always a lovely smile and greeting from reception and even fellow customers too. I cannot believe how lucky we were to register here to provide our much loved fur babies with the best possible veterinary care and love
