I only wish I had chosen this practice when I first moved to the area. Mike and his team are second to none. They have gone above and beyond in professionalism and personal service. I started using Brookend when I moved to Witham in 2004. Since then I have moved house twice and have been at several other vets and none even compare to Brookend. When I lived in Ipswich in 2019 I brought my dog back down to Witham for a second opinion as I completely trusted Mike's word on what was right. I am now back living in Essex and I've been at another vets for rhe last 2 years and im just about to re-register at Brookend. It's worth thr 40 min drive.

I have been bringing my pets here for twenty years, and always recommend this practice to friends. All of the staff is friendly and wonderful. They take the time to answer all of your concerns and make full treatment plans when necessary. They are incredibly knowledgeable about breed-specific issues—I have an English Bulldog and this is particularly important for us. I never need to ask for a specific vet unless it’s a repeat visit because they are all wonderful, especially Michael and Rebecca whom I have known the longest.

Such a friendly practice. All the staff were welcoming and friendly and my kitten was treatment wonderfully during his appointment. It was his first visit and I was nervous about how he would react but it went flawlessly and no sign of distress before or after the treatment, a credit to the staff! Would highly recommend as the vets to choose.

I definitely recommend Brookend vets. We have been with them for our two cats for five years now, both of them have health problems and one is diabetic, so needs regular support. Today they've had my cat seen to immediately by a vet when I called about an emergency health concern. The vets are professional and the reception staff are always very polite and kind. Five stars.

A special thank you goes to Dr Alex, who not only accurately diagnosed and resolved my dog Coco’s ongoing stomach issues, but also performed her spaying procedure, tooth extraction, and gastrointestinal examination, including an X-ray. Everything was carried out with great attention to detail and with Coco’s wellbeing as the top priority. Thanks to his care, she has fully recovered and is back to her happy, energetic self.
