I have been through 19 vets. Including 2 other Medivets. Who I won’t return to, Medivets canvey island is a 45 minute drive for me and worth every minute!! Ian has restored my faith in Verona as a whole! His skill, his care. Is empathy. His ability to take the time and explain all options. To ensure you are included in decisions and understand the decisions I’ve never had before. I had my dog spayed here around 13 years ago with perfection. And moved away. And has a knightmare since. My 16yo girl had a huge tumor. Saw 5 vets who gave grim outcomes and huge quotes. And isn’t discussed 5 options. Clearly. And together we chose surgery. Which went Amazingly. Kacey was at no point distressed. Obviously comfortable and I’ll never go anywhere else. I highly recommend travelling here. Not only was the service outstanding. The procedure faultless. But it was also the cheapest most detailed quote I had.which was a bonus. She’s now got a renewed burst of life. Running up the stairs at her age. Loves her food again.

Ian was great as usual, not happy with cost of pills over double price on pills which could be halved on internet, I know vets need to make a profit to enable them to cover their costs, but £75 for 30 pills ,maybe they could be a bit cheaper

Medivet on Canvey Island saw my dog within 10 minutes of my phone call due to an emergency situation with him. All the staff were very helpful and treated him quickly to ensure he wasn’t in pain. We are very grateful for their fast response and kindness.

Only downside for me is they’re on Canvey so traffic is awful to get there! I bring my house rabbits here as they have the exotics vets and also use the medivet pet plan for their check ups and vaccinations. The team are all patient, friendly, helpful and very responsive. I’m very impressed by their proactively in checking in with me after appointments as it’s tricky to find the cause of illness with rabbits. They deal with my insurance quickly. Good sized car park too.

Needed our gsd to get his second vaccination. As our regular did not use the same vaccine we rang around to find the same type so not needing to start again. When I spoke to medivet the receptionist was not sure but put me on hold and checked then confirmed they used the same, I registered and the appointment. When we got in there the nice young vet said we don't use that one you'll have to have another first and start again, I was polite but very annoyed, we had the injection paid and left. If medivet were the only vets left in Canvey I still would not go there, incompetent at best, stupid I think as the idea was to get another customer to part with hard earned for longer.

We’ve been bringing our miniature schnauzer, Colin, to Medivet Canvey Island for the past 12 years, and I genuinely can’t speak highly enough of the care he’s received throughout his life. From his puppy days to now, the team has always been kind, professional, and incredibly compassionate. A special thank you to Lizzy, who has been a constant source of support and expertise over the years. Her dedication and gentle approach have made all the difference to both Colin and us. It’s so reassuring to know that your pet is in such capable and caring hands. Thank you, Medivet, for helping us give Colin a healthy, happy life. We wouldn’t go anywhere else!
