Wylie Wellness Centre describes itself as an award-winning, RCVS Accredited Veterinary Hospital, with a focus on preventative care via wellness plans. Reviews give concrete examples of what that looks like in practice: annual vaccinations, nail clipping by a vet nurse, and at least one owner reporting they were offered an emergency appointment within the hour (from a website testimonial). Facilities are mentioned repeatedly in reviews, including a sensory/enrichment waiting area and spotlessly clean waiting rooms.
Owners’ experiences with the clinic’s Total Care Plan (TCP) are mixed: some say it provides “excellent prompt treatment” and good cover, while one detailed 1‑star review alleges shifting enrolment requirements tied to raw food purchase records, unclear terms, and communication that felt dismissive.
4.3 stars from 158 reviews. - Handling nervous pets: owners describe staff adapting well to anxious/reactive dogs and taking a gentle approach during appointments.

Saw Vetinary Surgeon, Ashley, today with our fur baby Moana 🐈⬛ I’ve never met someone who clearly loves their job so much as her - she took such great care of our Moana and was the most helpful vet I have encountered at Wylies. So happy we found a Vet that was so knowledgeable and caring. Thank you for the wonderful advice and your time

Excellent!!! Is the best way of describing the staff, service and products at both the Upminster Hospital and Brentwood Wellness Centre. Both sites were simply amazing when we unexpectedly lost our dog, Colbie Cotton, to a road traffic accident. The care and sympathy I received was phenomenal. I am now lucky enough to have two more dogs, who, as Colbie was, are on the Total Care Plan I cannot fault this Plan and we have received excellant prompt treatment when we have had to use it. I also have both dogs insured for Third Party risks and the insurance company are astounded by the level of cover that the TCP offers. The facilities and waiting areas, at both locations, have always been spotlessly clean, and the sensory waiting room at Brentwood is a great idea. The choice of raw food is extensive and this allows me to change flavours, within a brand, so that the dogs do not get bored. Now for the Staff!!! To put this in context I myself work in a customer support environment. I can hand on heart say that over the 5 years that I have been visting Wylie's I have never had a bad experience with the reception team, vets or nursing staff. I predominantly visit Brentwood now and the staff and management team of, Zowie, Wendy, Macy Katie A, Katie G, Julia, Georgie and Rachel have always been super polite and super helpful. Keep up the excellant work Team Wylie

100% would recommend Wylies Welness centre. Their staff are always so helpful and friendly and go above and beyond! From their reception staff who always make you feel welcome and offer great help and advice where they can to their amazing vets. One of my dogs who is very nervous and reactive was unwell recently and their head vet Adele was so amazing with her, I couldn’t believe it. It’s so nice to have a practice who genuinely care about the welfare of your pet and understand that they’re family. I wouldn’t want my pets to go anywhere else. Thanks Wylies for everything, keep up the great practise that you’ve created.

Disappointing Experience with Wiley’s Veterinary Center – Lack of Transparency and Respect I rarely leave reviews, but after months of frustration with Wiley’s Veterinary Center, I feel compelled to share my experience in the hope it might help others make a more informed decision. I attempted to enrol my dog in their TCP subscription plan, which requires the dog to be on raw food purchased from their store — something I had no issue with, as my dog was already eating that food. However, the process of simply being assessed for the plan turned into a series of arbitrary hurdles, shifting rules, and disappointing communication. The first appointment for the health assessment (a requirement for TCP enrolment) was denied because my dog was recovering from a dew claw infection — understandable. But when that healed, and I tried again, they refused again — this time because they didn’t see a consistent record of food purchases linked to my dog's account. Here’s where things become concerning: They cited “terms and conditions” that supposedly require four consecutive weeks of food purchases registered under the dog’s account before even being considered for the TCP plan. I asked for a copy of these terms — they pointed me to their website, which does not mention any such clause. When I pressed further and requested a proper document, they sent a version of the terms and conditions that still did not contain this mysterious four-week rule. Despite the fact that I have been buying food from them for the past two months, my partner and I didn’t register the purchases under the dog’s name because (ironically) they only offer discounts once you're enrolled in the TCP plan — so it never seemed necessary. Instead of working with us or offering any understanding, they sent a formal letter refusing further communication and stating they would no longer consider my dog for the subscription plan. Interestingly, they were still happy for me to keep buying food from them and using their clinical services — just not under the plan, where some accountability and value might be expected. This experience has left me with a very clear impression: Wylie’s is far more focused on controlling and monetising their customers than actually caring for their patients. The entire process felt like a maze of shifting goalposts designed to protect their margins rather than support the wellbeing of animals. To make matters worse, while some of their staff were polite on the surface, I consistently felt talked down to. The reception team in particular came across as passive-aggressive and dismissive. I never got the sense that anyone was genuinely interested in the health or comfort of my dog. It was always about rules, policies, and transactions — never about care. Yes, they treated my dog well enough during the few appointments we had, but the lack of clarity, empathy, and transparency in how they operate is deeply disappointing. If you're looking for a veterinary team that communicates clearly, treats you with respect, and genuinely prioritises the wellbeing of your animal — I would suggest looking elsewhere. Edit and comment based on their reply: So their response reads as - after multiple attempts for us to convince you that a clause in the terms and conditions exists, even though it doesn’t, we failed because we had nothing to back this up with , therefore we decided that you as a customer cannot be controlled and manipulated, and we will find other customers to subject to our dictatorship. I am so glad I never signed up for this plan because it is not sustainable as a relationship and there is no balance. They’re making it sound as if they’re doing the customer a favour but this favour mostly benefits them. Recommendation to the team : drop the ego, if you stop focusing on what you like and what you don’t like you would not get into such confrontation.
